The 20 June Songwriters’ Showcase features the work of three more local songwriters.
Sofia Machray - After topping alternative charts in 2020 with her debut single Handstands and recently releasing Milky Ways, Sofia Machray is fast at solidifying herself as a tactful, femme-led outfit in the forefront of New Zealand’s alternative indie scene.
Martin Andrews - Martin Andrews writes simple, warm and accessible songs based on old blues and folk storytelling but with a heart based firmly in Aotearoa. Probably best summed up by a friend, "he writes songs that will reel you in and then break your heart"
Peyton Morete - Peyton Morete has been performing regularly for the last eight years around the greater Wellington region and has racked up a number of awards including Smokefree Rockquest and Kapiti’s Champion of Change. She performed on Maori Television in October 2020 as a finalist on Korihi representing our region.
