Startup Taranaki Meetup - Taranaki Soup

For this month's meetup we are going to try something a little different.

We are calling for Social Entrepreneurs to pitch a social or environmental idea and, if selected, take home cold, hard cash to help make it happen!

We are also calling for members of the community to invest $20 in an idea as their entry fee—in return for a bowl of soup and the opportunity to listen to, and vote on, one of several amazing socially-focused ideas that are pitched.

The winner then gets the prize fund—the proceeds from the entry fee!

What you need to know if pitching.
Submit your social or environmental idea on the form.
You don’t need to be operating, you just need an idea to pitch

No Powerpoints
Props allowed
Four minutes to pitch
Four minutes of Q&A

Consider it a chance to polish your pitch and if you win—bonus!

Those pitching also need to pay the entry fee

We are limiting the pitches to 10, we will shortlist if necessary.

If you win, the money must be spent on your idea, we will need to see proof and we’ll invite you back in three months to share how it moved you forward.

What you need to know if attending:

- Pay in cash as you arrive.
- You will be supporting ideas that will improve our community.
- You are welcome to pay more than $20 if you wish, it will go to a good cause!
- You will be fed Soup.
- You get to vote on your favourite idea.
- You will meet some cool people.

If Taranaki Soup proves popular we will make it a regular event.
