Join us to hear leading fashion designer and businesswoman Karen Walker talk about her love of books, building her globally successful brand and what inspires her at a special fundraising event for Katherine Mansfield House & Garden.

For more than 30 years Karen has nurtured and built her brand known globally for its clever design, adventurous collaborations, imaginative storytelling and constantly redefining its approach to retail.

The evening will begin at 6pm with a glass of Hunter’s Wines’ award-winning MiruMiru™ and delicious canapés. A non-alcoholic option will also be available.

This event is being held to raise funds for our Category 1 Historic Place and writer’s museum in Thorndon, where we offer an annual programme of activities designed to encourage creativity and host education groups to share the life, literature and legacy of Katherine Mansfield.

Our two previous fundraising events ('Bill English Opens the Books' in 2017 and 'Talking Books with Jacinda Ardern' in 2019) were hugely popular, so book now to secure your ticket: $60 full price, $50 KMBS members, $35 students. You can book online via our website, in person at Katherine Mansfield House & Garden, or by phoning (04) 473 7268.

We will also be drawing a raffle on the night. The prize is a beautiful gift basket including a selection of Mansfield books. Raffle tickets are $10 and can be purchased via our website or on the night.

With thanks to our generous supporters - Wellington City Council, Samuel Marsden Collegiate School, Hunter's Wines, Fine Cuisine, Naumi Hotels and the Oroya & Melvin Day Charitable Trust.
