There is a wealth of stories to be told about our local environment in and around Pae Tū Mōkai /Featherston - stories rich in mythology, symbolism, and history. Kaumātua Ra Smith (Ngāti Kahungunu Ki Wairarapa) will lead the line-up of storytellers for this event.

Mona Williams, a storyteller of 50 years experience, will share her Caribbean-Jewish vivacity, songs, clapping, dance, and tales from many lands.

The afternoon kōrero will finish on a high note with Rachel McAlpine, author of the best-selling poetry collection 'How to Be Old', telling stories from her school days through to now - what it’s like being sassy and wise at 80!
