Stroke Foundation at Christchurch Marathon 2021

Become a Stroke Champion and raise funds to support the Stroke Foundation at the Christchurch Marathon on 11 April 2021!

Stroke is New Zealand's second single biggest killer and the leading cause of serious adult disability. Over 11,000 Kiwis experienced a stroke in the last year - that's one person every 45 minutes - and research shows this number will rise by 40% in the next decade.

Tackle the 10km distance or run a half or full marathon with friends and family and support our 28 Community Stroke Advisors across the country, who responded to 5,500 stroke survivors in the last year – that’s over 38,000 hours of free critical support for stroke survivors, and their family / whānau and carers.
