EVENT UPDATE - Taniwha Daffodils will look to reschedule for when Hawke’s Bay is back down in Alert Level 2. With many of the daffodils still in sprouting form, we’re hopeful it’s only a delay and that we won’t miss out entirely on seeing these beauties up close.

Nothing heralds the beginning of spring more than a field of daffodils, so it is with great excitement that the Mabin family re-open Taniwha Daffodils for a limited season this spring 2021. Open 4-19 September only.

Stroll through thousands of daffodils in bloom, pick your own bunch to take home or simply enjoy the stunning sight of 20 acres of stunning colour.

Bring a picnic and pick your own daffodils for $7.50 per 30 stems or purchase a limited supply of pre-picked bunches.

Espresso Loco coffee cart will be onsite weekdays from 9am-12pm and weekends from 9am to 4pm with delicious coffee, fresh baking, sandwiches and wraps available to purchase. With plenty of space for little ones to explore, this is a truly enchanting way to see in the new season.

Warm clothing and waterproof footwear is recommended for those keen to wander among the magnificent trees, idyllic ponds and vibrant birdlife.

Groups of 10 or more are asked to email esthermabin@gmail.com. Or if you’re looking for space for a spring function, the Shearers Quarters is available for bookings. All proceeds to go to Central Hawke's Bay Parents Centre.

Taniwha Daffodils is a part of Central Hawke’s Bay Spring Fling. The Spring Fling is a series of standout events through September and October, capturing the essence of springtime in Central Hawke’s Bay! Spring is a stunning time of year in Central Hawke’s Bay and the Spring Fling is a wonderful showcase of the region.

However, you choose to enjoy the Spring Fling, we look forward to hosting you in this beautiful part of Hawke’s Bay, with warm Central Hawke’s Bay hospitality.
