Get your tickets to come along to Tauranga City Councils 2-hour interactive workshop to learn the art of worm farming. Don’t miss this great opportunity to produce your own super soil for your garden by feeding your households fruit and vegetable scraps to your very own worm farm.

By attending the workshop, you can take home a worm farm bin, worms, lime and starter compost so you can get started straight away. The workshop is subsidised by Tauranga City Council with a nominal fee charged to take-home a pack which is valued at more than $190.

The workshop is catered to beginners of worm farming with little or no experience, or for those who would like a refresher.

If you don’t need a worm farm you can come to the workshop at no cost, however, you still need to purchase a free ‘observer’ ticket to attend.

You must pre-purchase a ticket to attend this workshop to take home the materials, observers must purchase a free ticket to attend. No walk-ins will be accepted due to restrictions on numbers.

More details will be advised via email once your ticket has been purchased, please provide a valid email address when purchasing your ticket.
In the unlikely event that the workshop is required to cancel due to Coronavirus, a full refund will be issued to all ticket holders, or a postponement date will be arranged.

The workshop is open to Tauranga City Council residents only. One worm farm will be issued per household. Up to two people per household can attend. This event is run in conjunction with Waste Education New Zealand (WENZ), and customer details may be shared with WENZ for follow up purposes after the completion of the workshop. Please advise if you do not wish your details to be passed on.
