Ngāti Rēhia invite you to Te Ahurea, a unique Māori cultural and historical experience that will take you on an ancient, contemporary and futuristic journey through time.
Te Ahurea is Northland’s Living Village & Cultural Experience and sits in one of the most significantly important historical sites in New Zealand for Māori and early European settlement.
Situated in the picturesque Kerikeri basin alongside historic Kororipo Pā (Hongi Hika’s fortified enclosure) the Kerikeri Stone Store, and Mission House, Te Ahurea is an interactive pā site that will transport you back in time.
Our range of interactive workshops are ideal for gaining deeper understanding through experiential learning, of traditional Māori culture. Workshops include Rāranga (weaving), Rongoā (traditional medicines)
Registrations are essential. Groups of 10 max.
