Gather your chums and join us for Tea Time Talkies at The Roxy this Valentine’s Day! In celebration of its 60th Anniversary, we’re bringing you a relaxed and romantic indulgent Sunday afternoon with Breakfast at Tiffany’s and a delicious Devonshire Tea.
On October 5, 1961, the Audrey Hepburn classic, Breakfast at Tiffany's, premiered in New York. The film went on to earn 5 Oscar nominations at the 34th Academy Awards, winning two honours for its music.
Based on Truman Capote's novel, this is the story of a young woman in New York City who meets a young man when he moves into her apartment building. He is with an older woman who is very wealthy, but he wants to be a writer. She is working as an expensive escort and searching for a rich, older man to marry.
The film screening will consist of a 30-minute intermission where a delicious Devonshire Tea awaits (a cup of tea and a traditional homemade scone with cream and jam).
