The Casual Dram:01

Join us at The Library bar in Wellington for three intriguing drams and a dose of decent whisky discussion and banter.

As the name suggests, this will be a casual tasting; turn up between 6pm and 7pm, sit down, buy a beer from the bar and then taste your way through the whiskies… any which way you choose.

Here's the lineup...

1) Adelphi 'The Glover' Batch #5 - 4 Year Old | 54.7%

The fifth edition of The Glover was created from four first fill ex-bourbon barrels, two from Ardnamurchan in Scotland and two from Chichibu in Japan.

2) Longrow Red 13 Year Old Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon | 51.6%

Aged for 10 years in bourbon and sherry casks before spending the next 3 years in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels which were sourced from MontGras' Intriga Estate in Alto Maipo, at the foot of the Andes in Chile.

3) Arran 21 Year Old - Kildonan & Pladda Island - The Explorers Series Vol.3 | 50.4% -

The whisky itself has seen over two decades of ageing, resting in sherry butts and puncheons before a finishing period in Ruby Port casks. It was finally bottled at 21 years old.

An information sheet on all the whiskies will be provided and open conversation and discussion around the drams will be encouraged.
