Cheese guru, Virginnia Thomas, is hosting the 2nd session of “The Cheese Board” - a monthly get together for you to talk, taste and discover all things cheese.

Have you ever wondered what the difference between cows milk and sheep milk cheese actually is? Join The Cheeseboard, at the Wine Station and find out. Compare and contrast a white rind, a washed rind, a semi hard and a blue cheese from each type of milk, that right 8 different cheeses!

Learn about how the milks differ and the way this affects your favourite style of cheese. We will be joined by Thorvald sheep cheese and Little River Estate.

Virginnia is a passionate cheese aficionado, who amongst other career highlights, has been inducted into the prestigious French Guilde Internationale des Fromagers, with the title Garde et Juré (guard and judge) for her work with French specialty cheese and is only one of three people in Australasia to be awarded the American Cheese Society title of Certified Cheese Professional. Not only a cheese expert but also a clinical nutritionist, she has been following the growth and interest in alternative dairy, which allows people who are dairy-free to enjoy a range of sheep and goat cheeses.

Tickets are $35 per person, which includes tasting of three cheeses with a wine match & tasting notes. Q&A session with Virginnia thereafter. Pre-bookings essential.

The Wine Station is centrally located at the newly renovated 1906 heritage building, Blenheim Railway Station. The Wine Station is a showpiece for Marlborough wine and artisan food products.
