The Christmas Garden City Mākete

The Garden City Mākete is coming back to Ōtautahi to get the festive season started with a bang! Organise your Christmas present shopping by supporting over 50 small businesses all from one beautiful location: The Christchurch Cardboard Transitional Cathedral.

Offering food, ethical or second-hand fashion, jewellery, art, pottery, plants, and so much more! GCM aims to bring vibrancy, diversity, fun, and a sense of community into the central city during the amazing summer festive season.

* The event will go ahead in Level 2 with no maximum on numbers as we fall under the category of an event held in a venue facility (based on advice from the South Island Chamber of Commerce), however, mask usage, social distancing, seated eating, and tracer app sign-in will be required at the event. If the GOVT moves us into Alert Level 3 or 4, the market will be held online. *

Parking available on surrounding streets and close-by Wilson carparks – we encourage you to bike, walk, or bus into the city where possible!
