The Great Maungakaramea Bake off and Fete

Welcome to the Maungakaramea Bake off and Fete. A community day of fun and pre-Christmas cheer. We are very excited to be running this event again this year! We are situated 25 minutes from Whangarei city centre heading south west.

Doors open at 9.30 (koha donation) and as we all know, Covid rules apply. We have an area outside with stalls as well, we feel this won’t be too inconvenient. We have food trucks, local live music and all sorts of beautiful crafts on sale.

We welcome stallholders -(hand made or upcycled crafts, homegrown, and food stalls) - please register through our website bit.ly/mgk-bakeoff registration form.

Some stallholders will have EFTPOS facilities, but cash is advised. Our local store just across the road has an EFTPOS machine.

Bake off -If you'd like to join in on a bit of fun, we have the bake-off section where you bring your home baking, preserves or breads (see our categories on our website bit.ly/mgk-bakeoff ) into the hall at 9.15. There is a closing time of 9.30. Once the judging has been completed-we expect this to be finished around an hour or so, our local auctioneer will be auctioning these lovely morsels off. If you’d like to take your entries home, no problem at all. Any profits made will be donated to the local fire brigade.
