Four of Auckland’s top jazz singers who also run very fine bands under their own names: Judy Mason; Trudy Lile; Maria O’flaherty and Jenny Eirena.
The club is delighted to bring back The Jazz Divas, a four-part harmony vocal group popular between 2000-2010. Reformed for a guest appearance at Phil Broadhurst’s Memorial Concert, they are working on some exciting new repertoire, along with some of the old favourites such as “Moonglow”, “Poinciana” and “Charmed Life” - the title track of their album which will be available on the night. Arrangements are mostly by Julie, with also one exceptional one by Trudy. There’s a new line-up for the rhythm section, again all great musicians who run their own groups: Alan Brown piano Mostyn Cole bass and Jason Orme drums. Prepare yourselves for a night of Glitz and Glamour with lush vocal harmonies backed by some of Auckland’s finest.
