Discover your creative potential and enjoy improvising scenes and stories in a safe, positive group environment with the Wellington Improvisation Troupe (W.I.T.)This is the perfect place for absolute beginners to get acquainted with the joy and art of improvisation, inspired by the generous creative philosophy of Keith Johnstone.

This is the W.I.T. Level 1 course and a prerequisite for further courses and membership of W.I.T., New Zealand's largest and friendliest improv community. Though not required, some previous exposure to improv is welcome.

If you have professional improv experience, please contact W.I.T. directly: info@wit.org.nz.

By the end of the course, you'll have:
- Explored basic principles of improvisation
- Enjoyed interacting in a friendly, positive and supportive environment
- Developed more confidence, presentation and communication skills
- Experienced joyful moments of improvisation

There is also an end-of-course demonstration of group exercises for family and friends. (This is a physical activity that involves an element of risk. While all possible measures are taken to prevent accidents or injury, please note that participation is at your own risk).
