The Luck of the Irish – Dr Dorothy Page on Harriet Morison, trade unionist and feminist Arriving in Dunedin as a 12-year-old in 1874, Harriet Morison was trained as a tailoress by her father. As an adult she devoted her impressive energy to the battle to improve conditions for working women, first through the Tailoresses' Union she helped found and in the campaign for women's suffrage, and later as a factory inspector and administrator in the Labour Party.

At Covid-19 Alert Level 2 a small audience will be accommodated by direct request only. FYI, if we do go into level 2 we will be recording the lectures and screening them in the auditorium for visitors at a later date who may have missed out.
