Due to the popularity and success of the first New Horizon Show in 2017, it is now being staged regularly as an annual charity event. Only last year was missed due to Covid19.
This show is great wholesome family entertainment presented by top local talent as well as popular NZ artists.
The audience is encouraged to join in the fun and laughter and to sing along to the very recognisable easy -listening songs - a mix of nostalgic and current music favourites.
The profit from your ticket sale goes again to The Hibiscus Coast Youth Centre (HBCYC) who are currently upgrading their Orewa premises.
The HBCYC continues to provide that 'fence at the top of the cliff ' for the troubled youth in the immediate area who may have encountered family rejection, abuse, homelessness, bullying etc. resulting in them also finding it difficult to 'fit into' society.
The show has great local talent including The New Horizon Band along with guest artists contributing to this great cause.Theres Ronnie Antonio from the North who featured on the Paul Holmes Show many years ago and became known as The Singing Dairy Farmer. We have our local entertainer and violinist Nick Jones who is in huge demand on the NZ music scene. Also with us again we have Gray Bartlett, NZ guitar maestro and internationally recognised musician, who wowed the audience during our last show.
