The Wellington Feminist Poetry Club: 2021

Join The Wellington Feminist Poetry Club in 2021 as the nerdiest kids in school deliver you a whip-smart and biting night of spoken word poetry. The capital’s sharpest literary students will be taking the podium with moving, lyrical, and even comedic stories of modern girlhood, queer resistance, or anything they damn well please! The curriculum is enticing, the reading list is moreish, and the homework non-existent. It’s the most entertaining extracurricular activity about.

Want to get initiated? Anyone can join the club! If you’d like to read at one of our events, get in touch with Hugo Grrrl or producer Kate Creatif Kate. Male-identifying people welcome too.

The event space is located up stairs with a service elevator available on request, but it’s essential that you get in touch with the Hugo’s Gigs team before the gig if you have any accessibility concerns so we can best help you out.
