Laugh along with some of the best local and international comics in New Zealand for a night of uproarious stand-up comedy.

Thursday Night Comedy Showcase

Featuring:
Daniel John Smith
Aaron Barber
Anya Rzhevitskaya
& Special Guest, Hoani Hotene
Hosted by Sammy Hannah.

Daniel John Smith
Daniel John Smith is an award winning comedian who has toured festivals across three countries (if you count England and Scotland as different countries, which you should) and co-founded Drug of Choice Productions. He hates writing bios and loves making strangers laugh.

“Darkly humourous… you will be entertained” - EdFringe Review
"A comedy craftsman" - Art Murmurs
"Hilarious" - KeepingupwithNZ.com

Aaron Barber
Former Texan Aaron Barber found himself "stuck" in Aotearoa during the pandemic. Unable to return to his adopted home in Malaysia and unwilling to go back to America for... reasons, Aaron jumped headfirst into the NZ comedy circuit. As co-creator of the Fringe Show "American Refugees", Aaron has been spreading big laughs touring across the North and South island. Brash and loud measured with wit and charm, he's one act you won't want to miss.

Creator of Yeah... Nah Comedy, Thursday Night Comedy Showcase, HOT AS F*CK

"Nothing but a comedy delight, with that much charisma and cunning wit." - Sam See: The Merry Lion Singapore

Anya Rzhevitskaya
Anya comes from a galaxy far far away (Russia) and really wants you to join her on the Dark side.
Producer of the Dark art of comedy and Dope as Sunday comedy, she's trying. Good for her.

HOSTED BY
Gavin Hews
American born... and kiwi raised.

Gavin brings a unique perspective to the stage with his conflicting cultural outlooks on the world. The loud outgoingness of an American, coupled with the tall poppy syndrome of a kiwi creates a charming sense of humour with a healthy underlying dose of good old self-depreciation!

With Special Guest Hoani Hotene
Hoani Hotene sure is one groovy dude. With a style of comedy capable of being described in words, but only ever understood by the soul.

Hop on the hype train now before it leaves the station lest you be choo-choo-choosing 2 b lo-lo-losing.
