Tin Hut Live is hosting Bullfrog Rata backed by The Elegant Wastrels, our first gig for 2021. Bob and Kate the local Blues Americana fingerpicking Folk- and- all virtuosos will open the show at 7.20 and Grafia will take over from Bullfrog and his mates with a 30 min set of originals and the odd cover to end the evening.

The Elegant Wastrels with Bullfrog Rata
Live music: there is nothing quite like it!

Bullfrog Rata is has been sitting in his muddy pond for far too long and is absolutely stoked to be coming back to the Tin Hut.

He will be presenting a set of his own songs, that were mostly written during the lockdown.
As yet the songs remain unreleased with an album almost ready to go and another CD’s worth already written, so he is looking forward to giving these songs an airing in a live situation.
He is joined by the Elegant Wastrels which consists of Patrick Bleakley on Double Bass and John Rae on Drums.

Patrick and John are Wellington-based with long experience both hear and in foreign parts, most interestingly a number of appearances at the Edinburgh Arts Festival, and one of their current projects is the Troubles sprawling free jazz infused collective that defies category, they have played with many notable NZ Icons, Bruno Lawrence, Jonathan Crayford, Rick Bryant and Lisa Tomlin among others.
So, you can expect that Bullfrog will be on his game as he presents his new songs, which cover a wide gamut of styles and moods, delivered with a pastiche of commentary and humour.

Delicious meals are served with country pub elegance( to match the Wastrels ) and there's more room to dance in the new seating/ stage arrangement in the bar.
