If Wellington is at Alert Level 2, we will be able to present some—but not all—events from our Open Late line up with hygiene and social distancing measures in place. We advise booking in case there’s a shift in alert levels. Stay tuned for updates.

Art, music, film, talks, beer, wine, and food. A changing programme of late-night events on the first Thursday of the month.

This May, as we cruise into the dark heart of winter, frightening birds are taking wing.

Watch 'The Bird Game', followed by 'Confessions of a Crow', where writers Marina Warner, Charlie Fox, and James Bridle, artist Lindsey Mendick, and composer Oliver Coates dissect it.

In our Education Studio, make your own delightfully wicked collage, slicing talons and tails, antlers, and hoofs to create your own wicked tale of transformation.

Later, poets—Rhys Feeney, Ash Davida Jane, Anna Jackson, Jackson Nieuwland, and Emma Shi—respond to 'CREATURE', introduced by MC Chris Tse.

Last but not least, swell to haunting melodies from up-and-coming Poneke-based singer-songwriter Zö.
Plus RadioActive DJ, supper treats from Taco Addict Food Truck, and cash bar with Tuatara beers and Seresin wines.

Timetable:
5 pm Exhibitions open
6pm Every Artist exhibition tour
6–8 pm Make a collage
7 pm Simnett screening 'The Bird Game' and 'Confessions of a Crow'
7.45 pm Poets respond to 'CREATURE'
8.45pm Zö

We advise booking in case there’s a shift in alert levels.

As always, our bar and galleries open at 5 pm, there will be Tuatara beers, Seresin Estate wine, supper treats from Taco Addict Food Truck and sounds from a RadioActive DJ.
