The BBC commissioned the great English/Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, to write this as a radio play in 1954 and it has subsequently been produced and enjoyed many times as a stage play. Set in the small Welsh seaside village of Llareggub (read it backwards), "Under Milk Wood" follows the activities of a group of eccentric (and sometimes bawdy) villagers over a 24-hour period. Two narrators are used to paint the pictures of the village and introduce the 70 characters.
This production uses the definitive radio script with its magical use of the English language.
Tickets are available only in person at Craniums at 10 Reyburn House Lane at the Town Basin, Whangarei.
Please advise Craniums of any special dietary requirements.
