Up Down Girl

Up Down Girl is an honest and uplifting play about the extraordinary life of a person with Down syndrome and their mother’s humorous perspective on bringing them up. Hilarious and heartwarming stories of Mattie’s childhood are interlaced with songs, dances and drama skits as the audience gets the opportunity to enter the wild and colourful imagination of Mattie and, by extension, Lily herself.

For the Relaxed Performance we provide:

- Areas to move about in the seating block
- A breakout zone in the foyer if you want a break
- Relaxed lighting and sound (house lights, less loud effects)
- A detailed resource featuring the cast and crew, the theatre's interior and a detailed plot synopsis.
- A short document about what to expect on the day. This will also be provided at the venue.
- A video showing the interior of the theatre, both the performance space and the foyer.

These resources will be sent to patrons before the performance, approximately a week before the show. Please find attached the imagery and media release (in Word and PDF) for more information.

Let me know if you have any questions and look forward to seeing you at the theatre!
