VÏKÆ is excited to embark on her DEBUT HEADLINE TOUR: Celebrating the release of her newest single 'Sinking' (prod. William Henderson).

2020 saw VÏKÆ’s first EP “FINELINES” (prod. MISSY ) debut at #5 on The NZ Official Music Charts. Her EP amassed 100s and 1000s of streams generating honourable mentions in the NZ Hot 20, Top 20 Charts and The SRN Charts ( 14 weeks straight/Radio 91FM Top 11 Countdown). Australian radio station AMR featured ‘Finelines’ as one of the top 50 songs of 2020. Her vocals have been compared to a mix of industry superstar icons Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.

VÏKÆ graduated with not only an honours music degree but a conflicting affair between pop and rave culture. 2021 saw VÏKÆ perform at Basscamp, Baydreams and GrrlFest as well as a tour with UK-Based band 10:32.

She is now celebrating the release of her brand new single SINKING (prod. Will Henderson).

In primary school, her peers played sports but VÏKÆ’s childhood was spent in countless lessons; dance classes, drama classes, piano and singing lessons. Forcefully saturated in classical music, VÏKÆ rebelled, finding respite in her Ministry of Sound records. Dancing to her fave CDs with her Walkman, she visualised hundreds of people dancing and singing along with her. A burning enigma fuelled her relentless work ethic and a myriad of hours spent in practise rooms to perfect her craft.

Her debut album that she wrote in Lockdown last year during the pandemic was inspired by an escapism to her “hair brush microphone” days with homage to the dance floor.
This album is set for release late 2021.

VÏKÆ is a strong advocate for mental health having been through struggles of her own. 10% of all ticket proceeds will go the Youthline NZ. Youthline offers a free 24/7 Helpline service (text, phone, webchat & email), free face-to-face counselling services, youth mentoring, programmes in schools and communities to help people grow and develop.

Youthline is a registered charity and relies on the generous support of partners, funders and supporters to continue to provide support to young New Zealanders.
