Wainui Trail Project Open Day

Come one, come all to the 2021 Open Day!

Wainuiomata Trail Project is a team of keen mountain bikers and volunteers from the Wellington Mountain biking community who build and maintain tracks at Waiu Park, Wainuiomata Lower Hutt. There's a fantastic network of 46 bike trails including a great selection of beginner/family tracks and a skills area, as well as easy climbs and some technical downhill tracks.

Come to this Open Day and explore the network of 46 tracks with the experts who've been a part of creating them, find out about the park and enjoy a fun day out with your family. There will be some guided tours, some family activities and more.

Waiu Park is mixed-use (mountain biking and running) and e-bike friendly. The tracks are set in regenerating native bush and also a significant wetland area.

Our event is part of the Bike the Hutt Festival of cycling fun, entertainment and competition for riders and spectators.
