Waitaki Arts Festival: A View from Puketapu

SHELTER UNDER THE SPIRE.

The St James spire draws your eye and on this evening you can come indoors and enjoy a little taste of Palmerston talent with Akiapata (Andy Moore, Dave Keen and Rob Wellington) singing songs from the 60’s (Leonard Cohen, Carole King, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Everley Brothers, Lennon-McCartney – to name a few), and story-teller Maria Barta sharing a story or two.

They will be joined by ‘slam champions of the poetry world’ Carrie Rudzinski and Ken Arkind from the USA and Auckland and, Golden Bay poet Mark Raffills, for a scintillating night of story, song and poetry.
