Walk 9 – Kotikoti Walk – Over Private Land
This spectacular walk is on private land which is opened for the Walking Weekend. A perfect opportunity to do something you cannot do the rest of the year!
Walk from HQ through town to enter the walk with regenerating coastal forest with distant views along the way finishing with a spectacular vista of the outer Bay of Islands. You can see Moturoa Island, the stunning lava formation of the Black Rocks, the distant northern entrance of Tikitiki through compass north to the clump of eastern islands and the magnificent Cape Brett Peninsula with the peaks of Rakaumangamanga and Pukehuia. The walk ends by walking the length of Long Beach, Oneroa, before rising over the hill to return to HQ.
