Wanting to make something more organic, complex or dynamic? Explore wax modelling and finishing cast pieces in a two-session workshop. Pieces can be cast in bronze or white bronze. If you want your pieces to be cast in sterling or fine silver, this can be done at extra cost.
April 17: Spend the day exploring making wax modelled jewellery. Made from a variety of wax types such as malleable soft wax, hard wax which must be filed and shaped, and sheet wax. From there you will choose your favourites to be sent off for casting. Stones can be bought from us, or bring your own, to incorporate into your designs.
May 1st: Finish off your castings. You will be filing, sawing, polishing, soldering and setting stones.
Please note: Due to the cost of casting fees and metal, we encourage you to think of economical designs. You will be allocated a set value of casting in bronze and we will provide sterling silver findings (hooks etc). If you wish to complete larger projects, this is at your own cost.
Max 8 students. Feel free to email with any further questions contact@thejewelandthejeweller@gmail.com
