Combining the raw power and stamina of a flat racing thoroughbred with the precision and impulsion of high-speed cross country jumping, gives you the brave and thrilling sport of Steeplechase.
Wellington Steeplechase is famed for its unique “figure-eight” track, a spectacle in itself but when viewed from the Milling Floor, Level 2 of the Members Stand, is one of the greatest sights of NZ jumps racing.
Steeples, hurdles and gallops brings you the ultimate winter raceday – get your tweeds out and rally up your mates!
To add to the racing celebration is live music, a style stakes for trilby's tweeds and tartans and a few Hot Toddy’s to whet the whistle.
