Experience a day unlike any other in the idyllic Marlborough Sounds.

What to Expect: Take a scenic boat ride from Havelock aboard the MV Spirit to Homewood Bay Lodge in Pelorus Sound. On offer are outdoor yoga, extensive hiking trails to suit all levels of fitness and ambition, a nutrition talk, a nutritious lunch buffet and an organic wine seminar featuring Windrush Organics. Please note that everything is optional—not into yoga? No problem, you can hit the hiking trails instead. Or bring a book and take in the view from the deck. You can customise your day to suit you.

Where: Serene Pelorus Sound is the backdrop to this excursion, with Homewood Bay Lodge as your base for the day. You’ll be among a small handful of people to experience the groomed trails and exquisite scenery as well as the stunning lodge that’s completely off grid.

Please note that space is limited, so we encourage early bookings.

About Homewood Bay Lodge
An overseas visitor once said she “finally felt like she was seeing New Zealand” when she visited the lodge thanks to its remote, peaceful setting that’s completely off the beaten track. Nori and Dallas Hemphill bought this hidden gem nearly 50 years ago and are passionate about sharing their knowledge of Maori history in the immediate area, as well as the native flora and fauna that populate the 1,100-acre property and surrounding waterways.

Homewood is also available to host groups. Please see the website.
