Wellycon 2021

Hear the kārearea shouting it from the rooftops? Wellycon 2021 is coming to nest this Queen’s Birthday weekend in its 14th edition! Our theme game is the popular ‘Wingspan’ from the house of Stonemeier Games so anticipate lots of rolling eggs and screeching birds.

What’s on: We are about the only major gaming con on in the world at the moment – so we have all sorts of special things lining up to happen. As well as a fully stocked game library, volunteers to teach games & get people together, there will be just loads and loads of tables to play at!

Special Events at Wellycon 2021:
- Play-to-win – We’ve already secured over 100 games to be won from our wonderful sponsors. You can test these out and go into the draw to win a copy of the game.

- NZ National Catan Tournament Sponsored by Pixel Park - prove you are the best in country and become the NZ representative to the Catan World Championships (CWC).

- Pandemic Survival Sponsored by Caffeinated Dragon - show the world you can beat this thing. Pairs compete in this unique simultaneous-play tournament to see who quells the diseases most effectively.

- Late night – after hours gaming ’til the wee hours, with Pizza!

- Intro to D&D – an experienced Dungeon Master (DM) will lead you through an adventure. These were a hit last year and were fully booked out!

- Buy, Sell, Swap table - find a new loving home for that game you just don't get to the table any more.
