Come and enjoy a day in a Republic and leave all your worries at the border controls at either end of our town and get amongst all our traditional activities on Republic Day.
Interesting times are upon us and time will tell at what level we will be at but rest assured, all guidelines will be followed to keep us all in tip top shape. The Sheep race will go ahead with great care and speed of sheep light to get to their destination of lush green grass, be sure to get your tickets to win some Whanga $$$. A community event for community people, Come and join us for heaps of fun and laughter, get your family and mates together for a fab day out
There will be sheep, possums, dogs, a cow and even slippery, slimy eels. Entertainment galore! Along with a few activities for you to enjoy and see. Music and Stalls of all kinds with locals feeding you delicious Whanga delicacies. Buy a Passport to enter our Republic is all you need.
