How do local sea creatures adapt to catch their food, avoid predators and stay alive?
Find out on Saturday 24 April at the NZ Marine Studies Centre, Portobello. These sessions you need to drive to Portobello. Check out the listing that includes the ferry crossing for residents living in West Harbour. Session 3 has only 10 spaces available, the other 20 places are set aside for the ferry travellers.
Join a marine scientist at the NZ Marine Studies Centre at Portobello to find out about marine food webs - who eats what in the ocean.
You will see microscopic plankton, investigate the stomach contents of a squid or shark and enjoy close up viewing of a variety of sea animals in our tanks and touch pools.
This event is recommended for children over 5 and adult supervision required.
