Wine & Cheese Day Options
$45 cheese platter with paired wine tasting
Includes four Cranky Goat cheeses and four Rock Ferry Wines

1) 2017 Orchard Vineyard Marlborough Pinot Gris ‘on skins’
This full-bodied Pinot Gris has a concentrated palate with strong flavours of peach and spice. A touch of tannin comes in leaving this wine with a serious finish but packed with personality.

1) Moody Cow Peckham’s Gold
Peckham's Gold is a smear ripened cheese using Peckham's Apple Cider, every other day for 2 weeks. It has a lovely meaty aroma with supple velvety texture in the mouth that tastes like a rich cheese sauce when held in the mouth.

2) 2018 The Corners Vineyard Gruner Veltliner
A complex bouquet of pear drops and kaffir lime with a soft palate of citrus, lemon sherbet and white pepper characters finishing with a crisp acidity.

2) Moody Cow Sandon
The Sandon is a beautiful white rind and dusted in ash. It has a soft smooth centre and an earthy flavour of mushroom and meadow hay. This cheese a standout cheese on a cheese board with its wonderful looks and size.

3) 2014 The Corners Vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
This wine shows gooseberry and tropical fruit aromas, complemented by subtle oak and mineral nuances. The palate is full bodied and seamless with a creamy texture derived from extended lees contact.

3) Cranky Goat Old Tomme
A firm aged cheese but not too hard to be a table cheese. Initially it starts with creamy notes building to slightly sweet nutty flavour with a hint of granny smith apples in the background, finishing along lasting smooth almond flavour.

4) 2016 Trig Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir
The aroma is finely scented and shows an abundance of fruit with beautiful herbal notes, dried fruit, and sweet spices. The fleshy palate has layers of complexity with finely structured tannins to the finish.

4) Moody Cow Pepper Soft
This cheese is smooth and creamy, complimented by a burst of pepper and citrusy notes.
