"In the small rural Waikato town of Withering, the local garden society is holding their annual meeting. At the helm is newly appointed Chairperson, Eunice Ermington who is keen to make her mark by “fertilising the foundations of the society to encourage new buds and support old roots”. Thwarting her efforts is Mr Clive A Templeton, descendant of Anthony Dunoogan, the Australian convict who settled Withering and adorned its streets with the resplendent Australian wattle.
Guaranteed to make you laugh and cry, this show has botanical double entendre aplenty and touching moments that will pull on every green heart string in the room. "
Presented with the support of The Friends of Hamilton Gardens. Seating provided.
Update: Withering Wattles will now take place in the Wintec classroom at the Hamilton Gardens, not the Chartwell room as originally scheduled.
