Dialogue is a key ingredient in the production process, but can often be overlooked. This workshop will help steer filmmakers away from the bad writing that can ruin an otherwise brilliant production, and enhance their ability to talk the talk of film script dialogue.
Veteran Kiwi director and producer Fred Cockram will teach essential skills in creating and developing characters, establishing relationships, advancing storylines and setting moods.
Cockram, who started off in the media industry as a journalist in print, radio and television, once worked for TV One before becoming head of production at the New Zealand National Film Unit.
He subsequently worked on personal projects that included documentaries and educational films, before retiring to Cambridge in 2020. Cockram is excited to share his skills and experience with local filmmakers.
Light refreshments are included with the ticket price, but you are required to provide your own lunch during the lunch break.
