The theme of the year will be — Medium Density Housing. Traditionally, Kiwis live in either high-density apartments in the city centres, or low-density quarter-acre houses. Our industry has been developed around such a setup.
Today, Urbanisation and population growth have forced us to look for new ways of housing: more affordable and convenient; better connection to nature and community. The pandemic has exacerbated that demand, and we anticipate a sharp increase in the demand for medium-density housing in the coming years.

In 2021, the NZIBES helped nearly 100 brands to connect with 10,000+ expo visitors. This year, we are creating an even more exciting event at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau from Friday 19th August to Saturday 20th August 2022. The 2022 Expo will put 150 local and international builders and suppliers under one roof, attracting a wider audience from the best trades and potential customers.
