Adaptive radiation is the evolution of ecological diversity within rapidly multiplying lines of plants. In effect, evolution through natural selection. Just like Darwin said.
This 90-minute downhill walk will look at some of the plants, both native and exotic, that have adapted successfully to different environments in New Zealand and the wider Pacific.

To keep everyone safe, all walk attendees, including visitors, guides and tail enders, must present their Covid-vaccination pass certificates. Children under 12 will be able to the join walks after they have been vaccinated, although the walks are not designed with this age group in mind.
