Rudi Mack has been collecting books since his teenage years. Over time his taste has become more discerning, and he has assembled one of the best collections of the earliest books on New Zealand. His passion for books, some would call it an obsession, has made him change his career to become an antiquarian bookseller with a taste for unusual and rare books about New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific, anthropology, and other topics.
In this session, Rudi will talk about the importance of private collections to retain our cultural heritage. Bring along your family treasures and he will advise you on their value and where to find out more about them.
