Art journaling is a wonderful way to find the courage and freedom to express yourself and experiment with creativity. In this course, you will create a unique hand-bound journal using easy to find materials and simple fun techniques. The course is designed to bring a child-like spirit and playfulness to creating. You will use collage, acrylic paint, acrylic ink, alcohol inks, markers, stencils and monoprinting to create patterned papers that will be bound into a beautiful journal that is ready for your use. Anyone can join. No experience needed, materials provided.

The course will have the following structure over 6 weeks.

Collage
Stencilling and expressive mark-making
Monoprinting using Gelli plates
Image transfers
Alcohol inks
Book Binding

The tutor will vary the content to adapt to people's needs so that returning students will benefit from new techniques.

All students must comply with SDCNs Covid policies and vaccination mandate. Students will be required to show their vaccination certificate on the first session. Any queries please email dunedinwea@gmail.com.
