Auntie Social's Thirsty Night Music Club

Auntie Social's Thirsty Night Music Club features some of the city's best songwriters in an early evening show. The 30 June show features a solo set from Dee, plus a few tunes from host Don Mackay.

DEE is an alternative-folk musician based in Pōneke. They perform solo and alongside their band The Sweet Somethings. DEE has featured on national radio and performed at several festivals across Aotearoa, including the Newtown Festival and Twisted Frequency. They regularly gig around Te Whanganui-a-Tara.

Don Mackay - Newtown songwriter Don Mackay is lost in the Bermuda triangle of musical genres. Too country for the folkies, too folky for the rockers, too rock for the country crowd.
