Latinissimo

Bachata is a smooth and sexy partner dance originating the Dominican Republic. The dance is a fusion of Cuban Bolero, Cuban Son and African rhythms.

Today Bachata has undertaken dramatic changes from the very traditional sound of its creation to where it has merged with more contemporary styles like Jazz, R&B and Hip Hop as well as other Latin and Brazilian rhythms.

In regular classes we only get a chance to scratch the surface of the technical aspects of the dance. Many people ask questions such as how do I lead/follow better all these cool bachata moves, what are the signals or indications to lead, how do I read the leads, how do I do isolations etc, etc. In this course we will break down, drill and apply all technical and fundamental elements applicable specifically for Bachata Sensual and show you how to put them in practice!

Since these are fundamentals they can also be applied to other Latin dance styles but we will put them in practice to Bachata Sensual.

Elements we will cover include:
- Timing & Rhythm
- Connection
- Lead & Follow
- Isolation
- Body rolls & waves.

You will discover techniques and fundamentals you probably never knew of or how to apply!

Join us for Bachata dancing! This course is suitable for all levels 2 and above. Not suitable for complete beginners.

Various summer courses will run from 06 to 31 January, 2020.
