Bike the Remutaka Family Day : CANCELLED

Bookings required. All participants must be over the age of 12 and present a My Vaccine Pass to participate in this event. Please have your My Vaccine Pass ready on arrival.

Due to the evolving situation around Covid in the Wellington region and to protect younger children, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate under 12's this year, even if accompanied by a fully-vaccinated adult.

Get on your mountain bike and experience all the best bits of the Remutaka Cycle Trail and beyond. Explore restored railway bridges, zoom through historic tunnels and ride over the thrilling Siberian Suspension Bridge. Then travel down the old railway incline to the abandoned Cross Creek settlement and out to a waiting bus that will transport both you and your bike back to where you started.

This ride includes a 10km gentle incline to the summit and is not suitable for children under 12, the recommended minimum age for this event is 14 unless they are experienced riders. After the summit there is an 8km downhill cruise down to Wairarapa and we will provide transport back to the starting point.

Don’t forget to pack a picnic, snacks and water.
