Local and world-famous artist Bob Drake's exhibition entitled 'Bridging the Gap' is presented in the Carlton Gallery from 14 March - 27 March in The Arts Junction, open 7 days. Definitely worth a visit - immerse yourself in the colour and shapes of these unique artworks.

The intention of the work in this exhibition indicates the gap between the psychology of our outer and inner selves, which needs to be bridged yet with them remaining separate.

The primary colours used for Bob's exhibition indicate the three main aspects of Manifestation in the Cosmos. The red symbolises the positive or active elements, the blue the negative or passive elements and the yellow the neutral elements.

These elements or factors are each essential in being present together in all Manifestations, on any scale, in this Infinite Cosmos.

Bob was born in Wellington in 1936 and spent most of his working life in Auckland, working as a designer in architecture, interiors and graphics.

In 1966 he moved to Paris and worked there until 1988. He then moved to England, and worked from his studio Great Missenden, Bucks.

In 2015 he moved back to New Zealand to live permanently and now works from his studio in Katikati.

Bob has works in private collections in New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain and the USA.
If you wish to meet Bob during his exhibition, please leave your contact details at the Information Desk in The Arts Junction to speak with Bob or to arrange a meeting with Bob in the gallery.
