Its back! the 2nd Waitati Dead Rockers Ball. Come dance with Bulletproof Convertible and Flying Man for a night of high energy original rock.
Dress up encouraged but not compulsory, get a sweet dress or your finest leather bogan jacket and come rock out.
We look forward to the 2nd Waitati Dead Rockers experience. The last one rocked hard and the people danced all night.
Doors open 7:30pm, bands start 8pm, show ends 11pm.
Bulletproof Convertible, NZ original rock trio return to bring the 2022 Dead Rockers Ball back to Waitati Hall. After a difficult year of COVID restrictions last year's event was cancelled due to covid.
The Dead Rockers Ball is an event the band has toured throughout the lower South Island, attendees have embraced the concept coming dressed in 50’s rockabilly outfits or as dead rock stars.
“It gets pretty exciting playing seeing everyone dressed up and dancing, just having a good time” says Silas Waring, songwriter, guitarist and vocalist for the band. “We always bring 110% to the stage and try to get them dancing as soon as we can, playing Waitati is a favourite as the band has always gone well there and it feels like home ground”
Bulletproof Convertible, a New Zealand based three-piece rock outfit featuring original songs, guitar, double bass and drums, soaking in rhythm. Full noise, 50's influenced and danceable as all hell. A unique collection of musicians; Silas Waring - Guitar, Alex Ramsay - Drums and Paul Southworth - Double Bass. Together they produce an all original sound, familiar, driving, relentless and danceable. Silas Waring's songwriting delivers broken characters framed in locations and situations known to all of us yet understood by few. His uncanny ability to visualise a scene is compelling, he draws you in with a picture and before you know it you are singing the hook along with the band all the while grooving and bumping to the beat.
