This year marks the 21st Fête du cinéma d'animation from Alliance Française and L’Institut Français. Held in locations across France and around the world, it offers a selection of animated French films for the young and young at heart!

Schedule - Wednesday 12 October to Saturday 15 October:

10am: Calamity

It is 1863 and 12-year-old Martha Jane and her family are headed to the American West in search of a better life. When her father is hurt in an accident, Martha Jane takes charge of her siblings and the family wagon, discovering a steely side to herself in the process – the mythical
and mysterious Calamity Jane. This film won the Cristal Award for Best Feature Film at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival 2020.

11.30am: Little Vampire

A small vampire lives in a haunted house with a happy bunch of monsters, but he's terribly bored. He's been 10 for 300 years now! His dream is to go to school and make friends but his parents believe the outside world is far too dangerous. Accompanied by Fantomate, his faithful bulldog, Little Vampire escapes from the mansion, determined to meet other children.

1pm: The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales

A fox struggles to follow in the steps of the big bad wolf, a stork finds it tiresome to deliver babies to their new home, and a duck wants to replace Santa. Enjoy this collection of amusing and charming tales.

2.30pm: Stinky Dog, Happy Life in Paris!

Chien Pourri, a silly dog, lives in a Parisian rubbish bin with Chaplapla, his feline friend. Despite suffering one misadventure after another, he always lands on his four paws! Discover Paris from a dog’s eye level in this charming adventure.
