Co-create Justine Fletcher’s Sculptural Installation, 2947

In this workshop, Justine is offering an opportunity for Christchurch residents to participate in the creation of part of her sculptural installation, 2947. The group will pick a couple of suburbs from the 39 listed in the 1893 third suffrage petition to remake and replace within the work.

Together, participants will punch out onion skin and leaf shapes, and thread them onto cotton. There will be a stamped-out leaf or onion skin shape for each petition signatory from that suburb.

Venue: Maker Workshop

Please bring paper punches of any shape if you have them as there will be limited numbers of these available, and dry outer skins of onions are also welcome.
