Look, we all know what’s been going on and that things have been a bit messed up. It’s 2022 and things haven’t been ideal over the last little bit. So, in the spirit of keeping up your spirits, David & Donna are launching their very-first-experimental-nonsense-year-in-review-stew.
A discussion around what’s happened, and a chance to reset things with some of the freshest comedy. It might not solve everything, but heck it will be funny along the way
Everyone has been banging on about how starved audiences have been, and how they just want to get back into it. Well, the great news is the comics do too, so David & Donna, Donna & David, have teamed up to do a cheeky little work-in-progress show to get the ball really rolling.
It’s not quite raw, not quite fully cooked, but more than half-baked. A cake that’s ready for its icing. Getting jokes in front of an audience is like sticking the skewer in to see if it’s done. This is licking the bowl and the spatula stuff, nommy nommy nom nom.
They’ve both been on TV, won heaps of bloody awards, and established themselves as two of the best stand-up and sketch comics in the country. These are two safe pairs of well-sanitized hands ready to take some jokes, stories and who knows what else, to the artisanal comedy market.
Maybe it will be a muffin with chilli in it, or Danish using dates and figs, could even be something made with disgusting, horrible, coriander. Whatever it is, it’ll be the metaphor that keeps on giving, and delivers the good times you, David & Donna, Donna & David, are crying out for.
