Downtown Carnival

Downtown Tauranga is the place to be this Matariki public holiday weekend with two days of music and entertainment that will keep you dancing all weekend!

The Downtown Carnival is back inside the bars and restaurants in the Strand, Wharf Street and Red Square! A throwback to the way the Downtown Carnival used to be delivered.

Experience an intimate music scene indoors, reminiscent of the many much loved European Jazz Festival that are enjoyed by thousands. There is music for everyone to enjoy from jazz, swing, blues and funk.

Stroll around the city shops, and grab a seat at one of Downtown's many fine bars and restaurants to enjoy a delicious meal with tantalising music.

A Vintage Car Parade on Saturday will add to the atmosphere.
