This block is a great way to learn the basics of torch-fired enamelling. We will be focusing on opaque enamels on copper and you will learn some tricks to achieve stunning pieces in bold bright colours. We will explore techniques such as Sgraffito, stencilling, and adding wires to our design (basic Cloisonné).
This way, even beginners can turn their creations into beautiful earrings and pendants. If you have tried enamelling before, you are most welcome to join the class, work on your own projects and get advice from your tutor.
In the follow-up block later this year, we will explore transparent enamels.
Fee includes copper and enamel powders, extra materials are available for purchase.
We require anyone entering our workshops to present a vaccine pass.
